A well-known real estate firm has revealed its proposal for a new two-storey office in the Mackay CBD complete with a designated auction room. See the plans for the first time.
Currently located at 224 Victoria St, Explore Property Mackay has lodged an application to Mackay Regional Council to build its new premises on the vacant block at the corner of River St and Nelson St.
“(The new building is) designed to be sympathetic to both the River & Nelson St road frontages,” documents state.

“The building will contain office space with several internal rooms/cubicles, an auction room, (two) meeting rooms, general amenities, lunch room, reception and general work areas.
“One-way entrance access is from Nelson St with 12 off-street car parks provided for staff and clients, and a left only exit is provided on to River St.”

Documents further state the building’s architectural features including the various roof form and pitches, windows, door features, and building recesses will cater to the Key Active Street Front provisions of River St and Nelson St under the Mackay Town Plan.
