The driver of an allegedly stolen car that rolled on the Bruce Highway is facing a stack of charges, some stemming back to 2002.
Mr Bland was reportedly initially trapped inside the car which received significant damage including a smashed windscreen and buckled wheels as a result of the crash at Yalboroo, about 50 minutes’ drive north of Mackay.
The 45 year old reportedly refused representation from a court-appointed duty lawyer.

Three days later on September 21, he was charged with assaulting a police officer and disorderly conduct in Rockhampton.
He was then charged with failing to appear after being summoned to court, first on October 7 in Rockhampton and then on October 14 in Emerald.
The most recent charges relate to the crash on Friday where Mr Bland was accused of rear-ending a 19-year-old driver before losing control of an allegedly stolen car.
He was charged with unlawful use of a vehicle, driving dangerously with excessive speed, unlicensed driving, as well as refusing to provide a blood or breath sample for alcohol and drug testing.
Two goon bags were found near the wreckage of the car Mr Bland was allegedly driving.
Neither Mr Bland nor the other young driver suffered serious injuries in the crash.
Mr Bland was transported to Mackay Base Hospital under guard, and remains in watch house custody after bail was refused.
Mr Bland told Magistrate Bronwyn Hartigan that he was engaging legal representation from Wallace and Wallace Lawyers.
Matters were adjourned to Tuesday.
