Race 2. (13:00) Bourne Racing Maiden (1100m)
#9 – Rock the Joint @ $2.70
Rock the Joint looked good winning a trial at Werribee in heavy conditions, and the breeding suggests he could make a winning debut.
The rising five-year-old has been patiently handled by connections, but the early betting signs after opening at $3 are good.
Include him in selections.
Race 4. (14:00) Seymour Equine & Rural Maiden (1600m)
#6 – Thermodynamic @ $2.80
Thermodynamic was much better when running second at Bendigo last start, and a repeat of that could take him close.
The Chris Waller-trained gelding relished the rise in distance as a $13 chance, so the rise to the mile is the reason for the shorter odds.
It shouldn’t take him long to break maidens.
Race 6. (15:00) RMBL Investments Rising Stars BM64 (1300m)
#6 – Ivan’s Hero @ $4.80
Ivan’s Hero is only a one-race winner from eight starts, but he has been threatening to win another race.
The three-year-old son of Holler comes off a tidy fourth at Sandown, which is a good form guide for Tuesday racing at Seymour.
We expect him to be right around the mark.
Race 8. (16:00) Yarran Thoroughbreds BM58 (1200m)
#3 – London Point @ $4.20
London Point was unbeaten in New Zealand before coming to Australia, and it’s about time she showed her best.
The four-year-old mare by Pins didn’t fire at Sandown last start before being sent out for a spell, but she could be stronger this time in.
We’re happy to give her another chance.

Race 1. (12:30) Central Park Wingham Handicap (1262m)
#2 – Naahro @ $7.50
Naahro is on debut for Kris Lees after winning a trial from four attempts.
The two-year-old son of Lonhro won a Newcastle trial in April, and that showed enough ability to beat this field.
He‘s in good hands and punters get value odds.
Race 3. (13:40) XXXX Gold Maiden (1412m)
#2 – Miss Shalaa @ $5
Miss Shalaa has been threatening to win a race for some time, including four second placings from six starts.
The four-year-old mare by Shalaa ran second at Tamworth last time out before heading for a spell. She returns after two solid trials, so she should be ready to fire.
$5 is a fair price from bookmakers.
Race 4. (14:20) Workwise Clothing C1 Handicap (1262m)
#4 – Rapbidash @ $2
Rapbidash won impressively on debut at Muswellbrook and we’re happy to stick with the three-year-old filly.
The daughter of Supido scored by four lengths as a $14 chance, so she exceeded expectations, and the short odds are warranted.
Barrier five is ideal and we’re including her in our picks.
Race 6. (15:35) Wingham Club C Brown BM66 (1007m)
#5 – October Revolution @ $2.90
October Revolution is the form runner of the field following a win at Port Macquarie, and he’s worth sticking with.
The three-year-old owns three wins and six placings from 14 starts, in what has been a busy career so far.
He likes the track and we’re putting him clearly on top.
