Addo-Carr took off up the sideline, before passing back to Mahoney on the inside to double the visitors’ advantage just three minutes after Pangai’s opener.
But it was the combination of Tedesco and Luke Keary that lifted the Roosters out of their try-scoring rut.
Keary slipped through the Bulldogs’ defensive line. With Tedesco in support, the halfback passed back on the inside and found the captain to get his team on the board.
With that, the beast was woken. A kick in-field from Corey Allan, who was facing his former team for the first time, was scooped up by Tedesco to score his 20th NRL double five minutes later.
The Bulldogs were first to strike after the break, despite losing Reed Mahoney to a concussion. Canterbury shifted the ball out to Addo-Carr on the wing, who had a clear run up the sideline, and put the Bulldogs ahead early in the second half.

But, Teddy was back. The Roosters skipper broke through the middle of the Bulldogs line, using his tricky footwork to split the Canterbury defence. Junior Pauga, who was on debut for the Roosters, was there in support, and with a pass back on the inside from Tedesco got his first NRL try.
An Angus Crichton error had the Bulldogs knocking on the Roosters’ goal line, and it was another grubber from Burton that gave Addo-Carr a double of his own.
The sides went try-for-try for most of the game and, from the hands of Tedesco, Joseph Suaalii scored to tied things up at 24-24 with 11 minutes left.
With 10 minutes left on the clock, Suaalii had the task of converting a penalty from 41 metres out, but the task proved too hard for the rugby-bound Rooster. It was a Luke Keary field goal with five minutes left that put the Roosters ahead for the first time and sealed the deal for the embattled side.
