With the price of staycations sky rocketing and foreign travel well back on the cards, you can spend seven nights in Corfu with flights and accommodation included for less than the price of one night in an Irish hotel.
The Antigoni family-run apartments provide a simple base near Ipsos with a choice between studios or two-bedroom apartments. They come equipped with a small kitchenette and a balcony or terrace to soak up the views.
Located in Pyrgi, it’s just a 10-minute stroll to the sand and pebble beach. Flights depart from Dublin on June 12th and return on the 19th so act fast.
The main strip with bars, restaurants and popular nightspots is about the same distance away and the hotel says the lively atmosphere spills over into the hotel’s pool area for a fun and relaxed vibe in the evenings.
One holiday goer recommends heading in the later summer months, from June onwards as the area can be quite quiet in the early summer:
“We just returned from Corfu, stay at Antigoni could not have been better. the apartment was spotlessly clean, sheets were changed mid-week, and towels were changed daily.
“Lakis the owner was friendly and very helpful with information about where to go and what to see. Unfortunately, it was a little early in the season and lots of places were yet to open, would recommend going a bit later for the best experience, and definitely recommend these apartments.”
Corfu is located next to Albania – another up and coming holiday spot.
Tourists can explore the sandy, take in the beautiful architecture and gorgeous villas, or head to the old towns for some delicious and authentic food.
Corfu welcomes on average, 12 sunshine hours between now and the end of August and temperatures generally hover around the high-twenties, so now is the perfect time to plan your trip, just be sure to pack the suncream!
