Recently South African boxer Ludomo Lamati received one such wound which has left him critically injured. His condition has left the boxing world worried about him. Recently, boxing legend Carl Frampton took a huge step in order to provide help to Lamati. He chose his social media influence to inform his fans about the fundraiser for Lamati.

The incident took place on May 27th, when Lamati suffered a defeat inside the ring and was subsequently hospitalized. Nick Ball emerged victorious via TKO during the Luis Alberto Lopez-Michael Conlan undercard bout. The intense match between Lamati and Ball shed light on the harsh realities of boxing. Ball consistently delivered powerful punches throughout the fight. It was in the 12th round that his left punch marked the final blow of the contest.
Following the bout, Lamati collapsed in the ring, prompting an urgent transfer from SSE to the Royal Victoria Hospital. To prevent brain swelling, he was sedated and is currently receiving critical care treatment in the hospital’s intensive care unit. The BBBOC and Queensbury Promotion are actively working to facilitate the arrival of Lamati’s family, as his team had to return home due to visa issues.
Boxing legend and former champion Carl Frampton shared a GoFundMe page on his Twitter. He wrote, “Please help if you can”. It has been set up to support his medical expenses and recovery. He showed his camaraderie for the boxer in this touching gesture while asking fans to support Lamati.
Tyson Fury’s Promoter Frank Warren Updates on Lamati’s Condition
Moreover, Tyson Fury‘s promotor also recently shared updates on Lamati’s health condition in an interview with iFL TV. Frank Warren assured that Lamati’s condition is stable now. “Yeah it was a dreadful situation, he had a bleed to his brain, he had an operation,” said Warren. Subsequently, the doctors decided to place the 5-foot-8-inch boxer in a medically induced coma, a standard procedure for individuals with head injuries.

He also revealed their plans to bring Lamati’s family so that they can be by his side. He said, “We at Queensberry have reached out for it to get his family over here or get somebody of his family, hoping they can be at bedside when hopefully, he’s taken out of the coma.”
