The Wisconsin Football Recruiting staff will have their hands full next month with recruiting visits, starting with one of the best athletes in the class.
The first official visitor for the Badgers in the month of June was 2024 three-star athlete Kaj Sanders. Sanders finished his visit to Madison on the first day of June with a different outlook on his recruitment. Before arriving in Madison, Sanders cut his recruitment list down to 10 programs but now may make more cuts after experiencing Wisconsin.
Wisconsin Football Impresses Athlete Kaj Sanders With Exceptional Visit, Atmosphere
Wisconsin football wanted all that they have to offer on display for their visiting recruits this month, and already the first recruit has received more than he expected. Kaj Sanders, a versatile athlete from New Jersey, has experience as both a defensive back and running back. This past season, Sanders excelled on both sides of the ball for Bergen Catholic as his recruitment started to take off.
Sanders rushed for 261 yards and three touchdowns while adding 14 receiving yards on three receptions. On defense, the athlete recorded 40 tackles and three interceptions while roaming in the middle of the field. Sanders has elite-level vision that allows him to process the game quickly. The star on both sides of the field can read plays and dissect where to go in a moment’s notice. His athleticism does not stop at football either, as Sanders is an accomplished track runner for his high school as well.
For the Wisconsin football staff, Sanders has stood out as a lightning-fast player that can serve multiple purposes for the team. The athlete is an exceptional coverage defender who can snag away contested throws. Sanders can also run through opponents and blow past defenders on his way to the end-zone. The Wisconsin Badgers football staff has been thoroughly impressed with the recruit, and it appears that Sanders was also impressed during his visit.
Kaj Sanders: ‘Everything was better than I thought it was going to be’
After the recruit left the campus following his visit, he had plenty of comments to share with recruiting analysts. Before arriving for his visit, Sanders said that he felt Wisconsin would be endless land and open fields. Instead, Sanders was surprised to find the opposite after stepping foot on campus in Madison and getting a chance to take in the landscape. The New Jersey product claimed to be used to beaches, tall buildings, and plenty of civilization but enjoyed experiencing the opposite for a change.
The Wisconsin Football staff has been recruiting Sanders for quite some time now and loved the reception they received from the recruit following his visit. Wisconsin Badgers Football fans should be excited for this recruit, given his talent on the field.
