MOUNT Gambier / Berrin will host a Latin Night on the weekend to give the community a chance to make new friends and try a range of cultural dishes.
Argentinian Delights owner Camila Del Valle said she wanted to organise the event after noticing how many new faces were in town throughout Mount Gambier Fringe.
“I thought about doing something different because there are a lot of Latino people in Mount Gambier,” Ms Del Valle said.
“It will be something for people to meet and make new friends, socialise and get to know new people in the area.
“We were going to play some music, it will be a relaxed night – it’s not going to be like a disco.”
Ms Del Valle said the night will feature traditional Brazilian dishes, including soups to “chase the winter chill” away, and Argentinian desserts in more traditional flavours.
She encouraged anyone wanting to socialise and experience cultural foods to come check it out.
“I think it will be great for everyone,” she said.
Latin Night will be held at Artscape Creatives on Gray Street from 5pm until 9pm on Saturday, June 3.
Entry will be free, with food and drinks available for purchase.
