The Connacht Under 17, Under 18 and Under 19 squads, sponsored by ATU, have been announced for this summer’s training programme and interpro series.
The Under 18 and Under 19 squads will train together at Atlantic Technological University over the course of July and August as they prepare for their respective Interprovincial Championships later in the summer.
Meanwhile, the Under 17 programme will focus on further skill development and athletic conditioning.
They will also train at ATU and will have a number of challenge games scheduled, with further details to be announced shortly.
Players from Mayo on the Under 17 squad include Dylan Rice of Castlebar RFC in the forwards with his club-mates Sean Brohan and Matthew Flannelly in the backs alongside the Ballina RFC trio of Liam Masterson, Conor Connolly and Sean Flynn Heffernan plus Liam Smyth of Claremorris RFC.
The Under 18 squad features forwards Brian Donohoe, Jason Duggan, James O’Boyle, Oisin McNicholas (all Ballina RFC), Michael Donnelly, Christopher Cusack (both Castlebar RFC) and Rory Lyons (Westport RFC) alongside backs Billy Ruane and Matthew Quinn (both Ballina RFC).
Mayo players on the Under 19 squad include forwards Sean Hopkins, Blayze Molloy (Ballina RFC), Daniel Noone (Claremorris RFC) and Joshua Tunney Ware (Westport RFC), and backs Connall Gill (Westport RFC) and Patrick Flannelly (Castlebar RFC).
