- Police issue public appeal for help to identify man
Police are on the hunt for a man they believe inappropriately touched two women while they walked home from a train station in Sydney’s north west.
A 35-year-old woman left West Ryde train station at about 12.50am on May 20 when she noticed a silver Mazda sedan following her as she walked down Falconer Street.
As she walked towards Hermitage Lane, the driver left his car and inappropriately touched her before returning to his vehicle and driving away towards Parks Street.
Police allege another woman was approached by the same man just eight days later.
The 28-year-old woman left the train at West Ryde at about 1.20am on May 28 and was walking along Forster Street when she felt someone touch her inappropriately.
When she turned around she saw a man nearby performing a sexual act before yelling at him.
The woman ran into a building for safety while the man ran to a silver Mazda sedan and drove away.
NSW police said both women where shaken by the incidents but neither were injured.
Investigators believe the same man is responsible and have appealed to the public for help in identifying him.
The man is described as being of Indian/Sub-Continental appearance, aged 20 to 30, with a medium build, short black hair and a short beard.
At the time he was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, and white shoes, and was seen driving a silver Mazda sedan with yellow and black NSW number plates.
Anyone who recognises the man, has dashcam footage or information that can assist police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
