Gold Coasters rejoice, we can finally switch off the AC, and step outside without immediately melting into a puddle.
We’re right smack bang in the middle of that glorious sweet spot we get between feeling like a well-done steak, and digging out the beanie and Uggs.
Which begs the question – how will you celebrate this glorious reprieve of the Autumn weather gods?
Rhetorical question, of course – because you know we always come with the hook up for all the finest fun and frivolity to be found on the Coast.
And if your plans didn’t already include assembling your faves for hangs under a starry sky with some goosebump-inducing live music shows – it’s about to!

When good times are on the cards, we can’t ever look past The Star (quite literally, as she glimmers like the queen she is among the Broadbeach skyline).
Because we all know a cheeky foray across the bridge is a sure fire way to set the tone for a fab weekend, whether you’re meeting up with the BFFs #girlsnight or rounding up the fam and those slightly more maniacal, miniature BFFs known as toddlers #IYKYK.
No matter who you’re bringing along, gather your besties (big and small) and get ready to cut a rug, er – or lawn, as the case may be – because the epic Live on The Lawn – live and free entertainment is back again at Garden Kitchen & Bar this month.
Yup, our fave (and free! #nokidding) open air live music sessions are back to swoon our socks off, and you know what that means – great food, fabulous music, impeccable vibes.

Starting with a #feelsalert because our first headliner this month is none other than Karise Eden – you might know her from a little ol’ TV show known as The Voice.
While at 19 most of us were busy dousing ourselves in bronzer and piling in to a maxi taxi every weekend, Karise was catapulting to fame quicker than the Surfer’s slingshot on the school holidays, with a head-spinning 45 mil views on her viral audition video.
After taking out the top spot, her first album also went on to debut at number one on the ARIA Charts (and reaching double platinum #nbd), so basically – you know your eardrums are in for a treat with those soaring vocals at the helm.
Catch Karise featuring Jude York from Saturday 20th May 5pm-6:30pm and thank us later.

And The Star is not stopping there, because bringing us not one but two shows is the soulful songstress herself Lisa Hunt, and if you don’t immediately know the name, all we can say is have your fave dancing shoes at the ready.
Because if a voice that’s been described as ‘a true force of nature’ doesn’t already send the green flags flying, get ready for the name drops – Lisa has worked with some of the absolute legends of showbiz, we’re talking Pavarotti, James Brown, Ray Charles and Miles Davis, through to some high-key Aussie icons like Jimmy Barnes and Midnight Oil #micdrop #musicroyalty.
The vocal powerhouse brings us the very best of Motown, Soul, Funk and Disco, so you know the beats are set to get even those among us with two left feet grooving #awkwarddancersunite.
Lisa will be swooning our socks off on Sunday 21st 3pm – 5:15pm and if you’re hungry for more, again Friday 26th May from 5pm – 8pm.

Speaking of hungry, for the cherry on top of some pretty sweet tunes, those culinary wizards at the Container Kitchen will also be dishing up all the crowd faves we know and love.
Get your mitts around a Fried Chicken Sando with milk bun, crisp sliced coleslaw, fried onion rings, Garden Kitchen & Bar burger sauce, but also can we pls taco ‘bout the equally enticing Crispy Pork Belly Tacos or Baja California Prawn Taco options.
With free entry and good vibes aplenty, all we can say is – be there or be square (and kinda bored, probs).
