DUNDEE UNITED have been relegated from the Scottish Premiership.
It ended in heartache for Jim Goodwin’s side at Fir Park this afternoon as they failed to secure top flight status for next year’s campaign following their loss to Motherwell on the final day of the season.
It all went down to the last game with United battling Ross County at the bottom of the table for a place in the big league again next season.
The Terror‘s faced Stuart Kettlewell’s Steelmen whilst County went toe-to-toe with fellow relegation battlers Kilmarnock.
Three points separated United and the Highland club going into the tie with Malky Mackay’s men holding an eight-goal superior goal difference.
Goodwin and co always had a mountain to climb and a spot in the top table for next season looked heavily unlikely.
