Taika Waititi is back in Australia after spending some time in his native New Zealand.
The film director headed out to grab a coffee in Sydney’s Rose Bay on Sunday, after reuniting with his new wife Rita Ora, who is in town working on The Voice Australia.
The 47-year-old opted for a casual designer outfit including a $4500 AUD Prada bomber jacket.
Underneath he had on a black hoodie, adding simple blue jeans and a pair of colourful Adidas sneakers from the Kris Andrew Small x Stan Smith collection.
The Thor: Love and Thunder director finished his look with a baby pink beanie and a pair of designer sunglasses.
After picking up a takeaway coffee at a local café, Taika headed back to his car and drove off.
Taika and his wife, British pop star Rita, 32, travelled to Sydney earlier this year but have since spent some time apart working on their individual projects.
The couple tied the knot over summer, with Rita revealing she didn’t want any ‘special attention’ on the day.
She told Glamour magazine: ‘Some women like to feel that real special attention that day. And everyone’s different.
‘And for me – I think with my job, it is all… it’s very attention driven – I wanted to keep it private because my life and my career aren’t.’
Prior to Taika’s arrival, Rita and her mother Vera enjoyed the VIP treatment as they went out shopping in Sydney on Friday.
The pair were spotted arriving to House of K’dor, a luxury jewellery brand in the upmarket suburb of Double Bay.
