A Thursday night road rage incident has landed a 24-year-old woman in jail. Thsi image shows where the assault eventually took place.
Suspect follows victim for miles, then altercation occurs
Richland Police say around 10:55 PM a 61-year-old woman was driving near the Edison St. Highway 240 exit in Kennewick. For unknown reasons, a female 24-year-old driver felt the older woman had done something to irritate her, and she followed the other driver all the way into West Richland.
The older woman was driving into her neighborhood near City View Drive and Dupotrail, across the Duportail Bridge when she stopped and got out, and then confronted the suspect.
A physical altercation occurred, and the 24-year-old woman allegedly cut the victim’s chin with a knife. The victim got back in her car and followed the suspect into West Richland, where units from Richland and West Richland Police located and stopped the suspect.
The younger woman, whose name was not released, was arrested for assault, and possible other charges. The older woman’s injuries were not life-threatening.
