“Even a team as skilled as the Wallabies needs luck on its side when playing against the best teams in the world,” a statement from Cadbury read.
“That is why Cadbury are building them the world’s luckiest scarf to help them on their way to France, and you can get involved in wishing the boy’s luck!
“We’re inviting all Australians to contribute their lucky items to the ultimate lucky charm, Cadbury’s Lucky Scarf. which will travel to the other side of the globe to France with the Wallabies.
“The luckiest scarf will be sent to France with the Wallabies, reminding them that Australians are with them and supporting them from across the globe.”
The items will be collected as part of the Gold Blooded Tour, which began at the start of the week in Southern NSW.
“Cadbury will be collecting lucky charms during the Gold Blooded Tour, we’re looking for anything, big or small! If it is an item that has brought you luck, and you’re happy to donate it towards the team’s luck, please come down to a Gold Blooded Tour stop near you,” Cadbury added.
The tour is currently in Wagga after beginning in Braidwood and Batemans Bay at the start of the week.
The Classic Wallabies & Wallaroos will play in matches on Saturday in Wagga to conclude the first leg of the tour.
It will also see the recently appointed Wallaroos captain Piper Duck return home to Tumut.
“We’re very lucky to have Piper, who is from Tumut just down the road from Wagga. She’s from the region so having someone like Piper as an example of it doesn’t matter where you start your Rugby journey, it can lead to the gold jersey,” Classic Wallabies GM Morgan Turinui told Rugby.com.au.
“It’s a great reminder that out of the cities, some of the regional areas can feel forgotten and Piper Duck is a great example that anyone can thread that golden path.
