Bartholomew Peter Dornbusch, 45, from Oakey, remains in custody after his case was mentioned in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Thursday.
He is charged with two counts of attempted murder along with a string of other offences following the dramatic incident north of Toowoomba on Wednesday.
Dornbush was arrested after police tried to intercept the Hino truck about 1.30pm.
The driver allegedly accelerated as police tried to open the door of the truck and arrest him, leaving two officers trapped between the commercial vehicle and a police car.
The two officers suffered serious injuries and one remains in a Brisbane hospital.
Detective Senior Constable Steven Ingerson, 54, has since emerged from an induced coma after being flown to Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Detective Senior Constable Mark Pemberthy, 56, also suffered serious injuries but has been released from Toowoomba’s St Vincent’s Hospital.
Shortly after the first collision, the truck hit two police cars in neighbouring Kleinton and two other officers suffered minor injuries, while the vehicles were extensively damaged.
Those officers have been released from hospital.
Dornbush has also been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, breaking and entering, and evading police.
He has been remanded in custody to appear in the same court on July 13.
The truck was allegedly one of two vehicles stolen from a property in the nearby town of Oakey on Wednesday morning.
Brock Dornbusch, 19, and Michael Stephen Patch-Metzroth, 28, who were allegedly in the other vehicle, were charged with various offences, including unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
They were remanded in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Thursday to appear on June 22.
The Queensland Police Union is providing assistance to the injured officers and their families.
President Ian Leavers said Det Sen Const Ingerson “had a longer road to recovery” ahead.
The incident had “rocked the policing community and the community of the Southern Downs”, he told Nine’s Today program.
