- Trolls say she should have been keeping a closer eye
A mum didn’t quite get what she bargained for when she posted an innocent video of her baby sleeping on the floor.
Influencer Amanda Reardon shared a clip after she found her nine-month-old Sierra taking an impromptu nap on the dining room floor but was met with a string of outraged comments.
Mums slammed Amanda for not keeping an eye on the baby and questioned why she had been left alone long enough to fall asleep.
Not everyone was bothered by the ‘adorable’ video and were quick to defend the Gold Coast mum who said the bub can be in a ‘deep sleep’ ‘in the blink of an eye’.
‘If you’ve been a long time follower, you know Sierra sleeps anywhere,’ Amanda captioned the clip showing Sierra zonked out in the thoroughfare between the kitchen and dining area.

Influencer mum Amanda Reardon (pictured) has hit back at trolls who slammed her for posting a video of her finding her nine-month-old Sierra sleeping in the middle of the floor
Many thought the video was amusing and ‘cute’ but trolls were quick to criticise the mum assuming she had left her young daughter unattended
Some parents were not impressed by the video and were keen to share their thoughts.
‘How long was she alone at that age to just ‘find her’?’ one woman asked.
‘Found??? How are you having to FIND your baby?,’ another questioned.
‘Is this normal? I have two kids and neither ever feel asleep randomly in strange places?’ a third added.
Amanda wasn’t taking any of the criticism to heart and even started responding to the angry trolls sarcastically.
Not everyone was bothered by the ‘adorable’ video and were quick to defend the former Amazing Race contestant
‘And where were you at the time, mother???’ one viewer demanded to know to which Amanda replied: ‘Sunbathing on my super yacht.’
‘How long was she alone at that age to just ‘find her’?’ another commented and Amanda answered: ’12 hours. She’s super independent’.
The mum offered a more legitimate explanation as to how she found Sierra napping on the floor saying the bub often falls asleep in the ‘blink of an eye’.
Many were on Amanda’s side and thought the video was ‘adorable’.
‘All the people saying watch your kids better obviously doesn’t have kids or they do and they aren’t teaching them independence or self soothing!! My kids would play and fell asleep while playing,’ one mum said.
‘And I would have left her right there, put a blanket over her and carried on,’ a second wrote.
‘Omg these comments are ridiculous. Your baby is beautiful and I love that she falls asleep anywhere!!’ a third chimed in.
One woman said she didn’t think it was ‘bad parenting’ to let a baby sleep on the floor but thought the word ‘found’ was ‘misleading’.
‘Yeah, I understand how it might sound. I mean, she wasn’t missing. One moment she was awake, next moment, she was deep asleep,’ Amanda clarified.
