40th Anniversary program reengages with art in a modern way to celebrate female artists and give back to the Napa Valley community
To be sold alongside the wine and custom labels at auction, each lot will also include the original physical art piece and digital ownership of the corresponding NFT (Non-Fungible Token). Proceeds from the collection will benefit Napa’s Monarch Justice Center through The Heart of PEJU program. With a 92-point score from James Suckling and 93+ points from Wine Advocate, the 2019 HB Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is a cellar treasure, featuring Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley’s famed Rutherford region.
“Both wine and art encourage us to expand our horizons and appreciate the beauty all around us,” said Ariana Peju, co-owner and CEO at PEJU Winery. “Art has always been in our DNA, so at this 40-year milestone, PEJU is looking towards the future as we support emerging artists and give back to our local community.”
The Heart of PEJU Collective features six female artists from around the world, all with a differentiated aesthetic and loyal following. Brought together by program liaison ThreeSpaces—a pioneering company bridging Web3 and the real world by partnering digital artists with brands and businesses to bring their creations to the physical space—the talented lineup includes Love Ablan from New York, New York; Robin Gibson of Oakland, California; Sarana Haeata from Alice Springs, Australia; Anna Judd of Mendocino, California; Danielle King from Albany, New York; and Wildy Martinez of Charlotte, North Carolina.
“These six artists were chosen for their artistic talents, distinctive styles, and diverse range of perspectives,” said Debra Nipp, Co-Founder & Creative Director at ThreeSpaces. “This particular lineup understands the value in diversity, recognizes that there is no single standard for beauty or artistic expression. For this first-of-kind project, it was important to bring together artists that understood the importance of working together to drive social change as we lift up female voices and give back to communities in need.”
The Monarch Justice Center will receive a portion of proceeds from The Heart of PEJU Collective auction, which will take place online later this summer. This donation comes on top of the $40,000 that the Peju family has pledged to the organization in 2023 in honor of the winery’s 40th anniversary. On a mission to create a safer, more equitable community where everyone can thrive, The Monarch Justice Center supports the families of Napa Valley and provides comprehensive care, advocacy, and resources to all survivors of trauma and abuse.
