Canterbury Bulldogs vs Gold Coast Titans Predictions
Two teams coming off Round 11 losses and only one win separating them on the ladder. The Titans though are a team trending up whilst the Dogs are trending down.
Over the past 5 games the Titans rank 6th in points scored with the Dogs coming in at 14th. This trend will continue this week and the Titans will put on enough points to cover the alternate line.
- Gold Coast have averaged a 14 point margin in their three previous wins against Canterbury.
- The Bulldogs have covered only 3 of their last 16 games as underdogs of less than a try.
- Titans are averaging 16 first half points over their last 5 games
- The Bulldogs have allowed a try to an edge backrower in each of their last 3 games.
Head to Head
The Bulldogs and Titans have only met in five games over the past four and a half seasons. Since the beginning of 2019 the Bulldogs have won two games and the Titans three.
Interestingly enough the Titans scored 26 points in their last game against Canterbury in 2022, a game they ended up losing 36-26.
Canterbury Bulldogs Form
The Bulldogs have lost two in a row since a hard fought win over the Dragons in round 9. They were always in the game against the Raiders but ended up going down 34-30 in their highest scoring game of the season.
Last week against the Warriors their attack was contained and the game was never in doubt. A late consolation try made the score look prettier than what it was.
The Bulldogs matched the Warriors in all important statistical measures including Run Metres, Tackles inside opposition 20 and Forced Drop Outs, but could not convert their opportunities into points.

Josh Addo-Carr has again been named despite a late scratching last week.
Karl Oloapu will make his first NRL start after coming off the bench in his previous games. Josh Reynolds will instead wear the 14. Sam Hughes replaces Franklin Pele who drops out of the team altogether.

Gold Coast Titans Form
The Titans scored 26 points last week for the 5th game in a row. Unfortunately for them the Knights scored more and ran out comprehensive winners 46-26.
There are no substantial problems with the Titans attack, Kieran Foran and David Fifita are a menacing combination down the right edge whilst Tanah Boyd is steering the game consistently from halfback.
Where the Titans are lacking is defensive effort conceding the most points of any NRL team this year.
