Lots of activities in Niagara this long weekend
If you’re looking for some fun things to do with the family this long weekend, there are lots of options in Niagara.
St. Catharines
- The Lakeside Park Carousel opens tomorrow for the 102nd season. The carousel will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays until July 1st, and then daily until September 5th.
- Happy Rolph’s Animal Farm opens on Saturday. The farm will be open daily from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
- Splash Pads: Starting today, residents can enjoy the splashpads at Bogart Street Park, Catherine Street Park, Lester B. Pearson Park and West Park
- The Morningstar Mill heritage site at Decew Falls opens for the season tomorrow. Tours of the grist mill and Morningstar home are by donation.
Port Colborne
- The Vale Health and Wellness Centre is open from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. all weekend. The walking track will be open from 6:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. and roller skating is back from 1:30 – 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday on Rink 1.
- The Port Colborne Public Library will be closed on Monday. However, on Saturday, families can check out Story Time with Shelly from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
- The Port Colborne Historical and Marine Museum will be open all weekend from noon until 5:00 p.m. Attendees can check out exhibits like Port High’s 100th Anniversary and British Home Children: Local Stories.
Lincoln
- The Fleming Centre is closed on Monday, but will be open tomorrow and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
- The Lincoln Museum and Cultural Centre will be closed on Monday. However, tomorrow it’s holding the STEAM Saturday Egg Drop Challenge for kids aged 6 to 12.
- The Lincoln Pelham Public Library will be open from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, but will be closed on Sunday and Monday.
Throughout Niagara, there will be no change to curbside collection.
However, NRTOnDemand and Niagara Region Transit will not operate on Monday.
