Pub-goers can vote in several categories, including “best community supporting pub” and “best dog-friendly pub”, on Mr Millar’s website at: www.robin-millar.org.uk/pubs.
Following a visit to The Gladstone in Dwygyfylchi to speak with landlord Steven Consterdine, Mr Millar said: “Hundreds of people from throughout Aberconwy have made the time to vote for their favourite locals.
“It just shows how important our pubs are to us.
“Aberconwy’s pubs and bars are facing many challenges, but they provide jobs, a place for us to meet and socialise with our friends and neighbours and they support our local farmers and producers by selling our local produce which can compete with the best in the world.
“I want to highlight the contribution made by our licensed premises and show them our support, especially those that go the extra mile for their patrons.
“As the competition enters its final 10 days of voting I hope that as many people as possible will spare a couple of minutes to join in and support their local.
“I have been visiting pubs and businesses in communities across Aberconwy and it’s been great to speak with Stevem.”
“I must also take this opportunity to congratulate him on becoming mayor of Penmaenmawr and I wish him a successful and rewarding mayoral year.”
