EMERALD PARK TRIP
Transition Year students left Thurles early last Thursday as they ventured off to Emerald Park (formerly Tayto Park) in Ashbourne County Meath for a day of activities and fun.
Blessed with a day of sunshine, our ever-busy TYs enjoyed the vast array of outdoor amusements such as the Cú Chulainn, The Rotator and the Grand Carousel.
The return journey to Tipp saw a stop off at Portloaise for a bite to eat.
Huge thanks to TY Co-ordinator Ms Conroy for arranging this event, which was thoroughly enjoyable for all students and staff!
OLD TRAFFORD TRIP
Our second-year students undertook the now annual trip to the World famous Manchester United grounds Old Trafford recently.
Excitement was palpable as students and staff boarded a very early bus from Coláiste Mhuire to Dún Laoghaire.
From there the students then boarded a ferry to Holyhead. On reaching Old Trafford, our students were taken on a guided tour of the famous grounds.
Following this, they were brought shopping in Manchester.
The following day, before boarding the bus, they paid a visit to Alton Towers where they enjoyed hours of fun on the amusements.
Thanks to the staff members who coordinated the trip that was hugely enjoyed by all, even the non-Man Utd supporters!
