Our analyst is back for another week and has found some handy bets for you to follow.
PORT ADELAIDE $2.20 v MELBOURNE $1.66 – Friday 7.50pm Adelaide Oval
Port have been in magnificent form having won its past five matches but this is a different proposition to the teams they have been beating. Melbourne are also in sparkling touch and they will set themselves for this match. They have won their past three games against the Power. The Power are also likely to have key big man Charlie Dixon missing.

NORTH MELBOURNE $6 v SYDNEY $1.33 – Saturday 1.45pm Marvel Stadium
Sydney was gallant against Collingwood two matches ago before they were overrun in the last quarter but then blotted their copybook against Fremantle. They have lost their past four matches but won’t get too many better opportunities for another win than against the hapless Roos who have lost their past seven matches. The Roos have a habit though of winning when they change their coach midstream.
WESTERN BULLDOGS $1.61 v ADELAIDE CROWS $2.23 – Saturday 2.10pm Mars Stadium, Ballarat
Only a point separated these teams when they met last year and another thriller looks in store for their clash on Saturday. The Bulldogs are in great form having won their past four matches. The Crows went down unluckily to Collingwood before stretching Geelong on their home turf and then easily defeating St.Kilda. This promises to be the match of the round. The Crows look over the odds.
FREMANTLE $2.35 v GEELONG $1.58 – Saturday 4.35pm Optus Stadium
This is also likely to be a great match. Fremantle have found their mojo although they have only beaten Hawthorn and Sydney while the Cats have several injury problems, almost all in the midfield. Optus Stadium could also test the Cats. When they met last year the Dockers shocked the Cats at Kardinia Park with a three point victory.
BRISBANE $1.24 v GOLD COAST $3.90 – Saturday 7.30pm Gabba
Brisbane have been relentless in recent weeks destroying their opposition as they have won their past six games. The Suns have also found form winning three of their last four matches with only an unlucky five point loss to Melbourne their only recent defeat. The Lions though have won their past eight against the Suns who have only beaten their home state rivals on six occasions from 23 clashes.
ESSENDON $2.18 v RICHMOND $1.66 – Saturday 7.40pm MCG
Another team which has the wood over its opponent is Richmond against the Bombers. They are attempting to stretch the winning sequence to 14 and everything seems to be in order for this to happen. The Tigers returned to their best against the Cats and could have co-captain Toby Nankervis back. The Bombers have lost their past four matches and have a long injury list.

HAWTHORN $1.29 v WEST COAST $3.55 – Sunday 1.10pm Launceston
In terms of quality, this is a look away match but in terms of competitiveness it should prove to be a fascinating contest between the AFL’s 17th and 18th team. Both teams have won just the one game this season. The Hawks only went down to Adelaide by three points at their last match at York Park which reads well for this.
CARLTON $2.90 v COLLINGWOOD $1.40 – Sunday 3.20pm MCG
The Blues tend to fire up for this clash and they will need after their recent disappointing efforts. Last year they lost to Collingwood twice by four points and one point. Collingwood are top of the ladder and if anything they seem to be improving. They only scraped in against Adelaide though three matches ago before getting two soft kills in the Swans and a Toby Greeneless Giants.
GWS GIANTS $2.15 v ST KILDA $1.70 – Sunday 4.40pm Giants Stadium
Toby Greene is back for the Giants and that will make a world of difference to them. He missed the last two matches after kicking the winning goal against the Swans and they lost their next two matches. The Saints were disappointing against Adelaide in their worst performance this season. The Saints have won their past three matches against the Giants though. Expect a tight game.
