Two teenage girls have been filmed in the middle of a violent brawl with another train passenger.
Footage of the incident, which took place on a busy train carriage near Regents Park in Sydney on Tuesday afternoon, was shared on social media.
Commuters watched on in horror as the three passengers were locked in a frantic fight between the rows of seats.
The video shows the passenger throwing punches at the two 15-year-old girls before she falls to the ground and narrowly avoids banging her head on the seat’s edge.
One of the teenage girls then appears to grab the passenger by the scruff of the neck before pushing her down into the seat.
At one stage the passenger appears to have fallen to the floor between two rows of seats as one of the teens stands over her and appears to kick her.
The entire video clip occurred in the minutes between Regents Park station and the next stop at Berala station.
The teenage girls reportedly fled the train once it pulled into the station.
Police allege the incident started out as an argument before the teenage girls assaulted the passenger.
Officers spoke to two 15-year-old girls and one of them was issued a youth caution.
