A house fire in Pagham sparked a huge emergency response as a number of firefighters attended the residential property to tackle the flames. The incident saw crews from across the county and beyond called to the scene, where the roof of the property can be seen to have been burnt by the flames.
Firefighters were called to Nyetimber Lane at 7.56am. All the residents of the property have been accounted for and firefighters are still working at the scene. Crews from Bognor Regis, Selsey, Chichester, Littlehampton and Worthing have attended the scene, as well as crew from the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service.
An aerial ladder platform has been used to help tackle the fire, we well as breathing apparatus, jets and pressure hose reels. Firefighters have urged locals to keep all doors and windows closed, and to avoid the area.

In pictures taken from the scene, firefighters can be seen on the roof of the property, with part of the roof completely burned out. Sussex Police and SECamb paramedics can also be seen at the scene this morning.
A spokesperson for West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service said: “We were called at 7.56am to reports of a fire involving a property on Nyetimber Lane in Pagham. Joint Fire Control mobilised fire engines from Bognor Regis, Selsey, Chichester, Littlehampton and Worthing to the scene along with the aerial ladder platform and a Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire & rescue Service crew from Havant.
“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are currently bringing the fire under control using two main jets, two high pressure hose reels, a safety jet and a covering jet. All residents are accounted for.
“Residents living nearby are asked to keep their doors and windows closed, and we would urge drivers to avoid Nyetimber Lane to allow firefighters to work safely.”
