The Packers have built a talented young wide receiver corps over the past couple of offseasons, with Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and Jayden Reed leading the way. Imagine they could add Jordy Nelson to this offense in his prime.
Nelson had unbelievable chemistry with Aaron Rodgers. It was like they knew what the other was thinking. But even with Rodgers gone, Nelson would dominate in the new-look Packers offense.
Even the best cornerbacks in the NFL struggled to stop Nelson at his best. With his smooth route-running and speed to fly past defenders, Nelson was a big-play threat in the Packers’ offense over the years.
In the 2023 offense, Nelson would be Jordan Love’s best friend. A receiver he knows he can trust to get open, not make mistakes, and create game-changing plays.
Nelson was also a touchdown machine. His 69 touchdown receptions rank third all-time in Packers franchise history. He is a Green Bay Packers Hall of Famer, a former Pro Bowler and second-team All-Pro, and caught nine passes for 140 yards and a touchdown in Green Bay’s Super Bowl victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2011.
The Packers have a talented young receiving corps. With Jordy Nelson, they would be unstoppable.
