The Indiana Pacers, Sacramento Kings, Portland Trail Blazers and Memphis Grizzlies are interested in acquiring Toronto Raptors small forward OG Anunoby, according to NBA insider Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
“Several teams have reportedly expressed trade interest in Anunoby, including the Indiana Pacers and Sacramento Kings,” Scotto wrote. “It’s worth noting the Portland Trail Blazers also coveted Anunoby ahead of last year’s NBA Draft involving the seventh overall pick, which was eventually used to select Shaedon Sharpe.
“Who could be another potential suitor for Anunoby? The Grizzlies are dangling future first-round draft picks to make an upgrade on the wing, league sources told HoopsHype.”
Anunoby will make $18.6 million next season. He has a player option for the 2024-25 season worth $19.9 million. The swingman averaged 16.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 2022-23 for the Raptors while shooting 47.6% from the floor, 38.7% from beyond the arc and 83.8% from the free-throw line.

Anunoby signed a four-year, $72 million rookie contract extension with Toronto in December 2020. He has career averages of 11.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists. The Indiana product won the 2019 championship with the Raptors over the Golden State Warriors in six games.
Toronto drafted Anunoby with the 23rd overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. The Raptors could rebuild this offseason after missing the playoffs this year, so Anunoby may be available on the trade market. It will be fascinating to see what the franchise does this summer after parting ways with Nick Nurse and hiring Darko Rajakovic as its new head coach.

For what it’s worth, Anunoby is open to staying with the Raptors if he’s able to obtain a larger role in the offense moving forward, according to NBA insider Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports.
“The Indiana product remains a buzzy trade name entering this offseason after the Raptors elicited various offers for Anunoby in February,” Fischer wrote. “According to multiple sources, the Raptors forward is very much welcome to remaining in Toronto if he’s able to obtain a larger role in the offense moving forward.”
