The Parks track at Morphettville is where SA metro racing heads to this Saturday. The weather is fine, the track is soft (7) and the rail is out three metres for the entire circuit.

5 Te Pani (Bet Now: $4.60) is one of the key chances for the in form Macdonald/Gluyas camp. She has been pretty solid in two career outings, the latest run coming a fortnight back on the course proper here in the David Coles when an eye catcher from off the speed when fourth to impressive winner Heuristic, who would be odds on against these. That form clearly reads well for this.
Danger
2 Bolted In (Bet Now: $3.80) is a horse with decent talent and commands respect. He was a strong debut winner at the midweeks at Balaklava before going to the David Coles when ridden cold and I thought found the line pretty well without threatening behind Heuristic, beaten just under three lengths. Think with a more positive ride, he can certainly take it out.
Long Shot
4 The Stalker (Bet Now: $101.00) is on the seven day back up for the Richards/Moyle camp after debuting last Saturday at Murray Bridge where he drew wide and it was pretty much a barrier trial, failing to come on behind Kalasec. Draws to get a soft trip behind a couple of speed types…not sure he wins, but for exotics, he is a must include at a likely big price.

5 Pudding (Bet Now: $2.20) should appreciate racing back to benchmark grade. He was thrown in the deep end two weeks back in the R A Lee and just found the blacktype level a bridge too far when down the track behind impressive winner Foxy Frida. He was only third up there so he’s hard fit now and fourth up from a spell, he should be around the mark and appeals big time.
Danger
2 Cashin’ Chex (Bet Now: $4.40) is one of the key chances. He is four weeks between runs since racing over the mile on the course proper here when having his first run for Travis Doudle and kept finding the line in a pretty good effort behind Conqueror, who was flying at the time. Another that has a good track record and with upside, he is right in the mix.
Long Shot
1 Oh Mo (Bet Now: $6.00) is on the seven day back up for Sam Burford after racing last Saturday at Murray Bridge where he got a fair way back in the run but made up solid ground and was quite good in defeat at a big price when third to Picargo. He saves his best for the Parks track and now he’s found positive form, he can certainly go on with it.

5 Rodeo (Bet Now: $3.30) will do me here. Team Jolly trained mare that resumes, having not raced since December 3 when a dominant winner at this track/distance, making it two on the bounce. Love horses that go out on a high and that is what she did. Trial and jumpout work has been encouraging and with good speed in front, can see her sitting back and finishing over the top.
Danger
6 The Magistrate (Bet Now: $8.50) is a key threat for me. He’s third up from a spell and should just about be at peak fitness. He resumed on the Parks track and just looked in need of the run behind Prairie Fire before going to Morphettville where he was on speed and fought extremely hard but couldn’t withstand the finale of the in form Celsius Star. The Magistrate has good upside to come and should be stronger at the end compared to last time.
Long Shot
1 Star Hills (Bet Now: $14.00) is three weeks between runs for Bob Richard since racing in the Sprint Final over 1100m on the course proper here when getting back off the speed and kept on without threatening behind all the way winner Queman. First up win was super and off that effort, he can be somewhat dangerous at a likely decent price, so don’t pen him.

1 Storyteller (Bet Now: $2.90) is a Michael Hickmott trained three year old that has done little wrong in a two start career. He let down with purpose to win on debut during the Oakbank Carnival before going to Morphettville two weeks ago and was good late from the back when a narrow second to Sghirripa. He’s racing like he will eat up a fast run 1000m, which is what he’ll get here. He’ll take holding out.
Danger
7 Runaway Belle (Bet Now: $6.50) is a key threat. Phillip Stokes trained filly that has raced over 1000m throughout her career, the latest run being a fortnight back at Morphettville and worked home well without really threatening behind Sghirripa. Like her up staying at 1000m and with a more positive steer, she can still be effective at the end IMO.
Long Shot
8 Wanaloan (Bet Now: $15.00) is a knockout chance. The market drift was severe for her when resuming in a Murray Bridge maiden but she defied the drift and finished best to win narrowly despite doing a bit wrong. It’ll be interesting to see what the market does after that drift fresh and given the form around that race looks suspect. But, she is a filly with upside and stable is in form.

It’s hard to get away from 6 Silent Surrente (Bet Now: $2.30), who is the form horse in SA at the moment IMO. She has been outstanding her past two, winning over 2000m on the course proper on each occasion, each time leading throughout and has been dominant to the line. Has run well at the Parks track previously but the way she is going at the moment, it’s hard seeing her getting beat.
Danger
8 Montepulciano (Bet Now: $11.00) has been hard to catch at times, but he is flying at the moment for Team Jolly. He let down with purpose to win two back over the mile before going to 2000m on the course proper here a fortnight back and kept finding the line in a solid effort behind impressive winner and the very much in form Silent Surrente. Has that 2000m run under the belt, which should hold him in good stead.
Long Shot
7 Prince Jofra (Bet Now: $26.00) is a beauty for Garret Lynch and is one of the hardest to beat here. He is on the quick back up after racing at Mount Gambier on Sunday on what was a bottomless deck and made up some headway without threatening behind Goliotus. This stable are the best, I’d say nearly in Australia, when it comes to backing up a horse, and this horse has run well on the back up previously. Very likeable.

5 Silent Don (Bet Now: $4.80) on top but not really a race I want to get involved in. He was backed with confidence last Wednesday at Balaklava and although he didn’t win, he worked home well enough when third to Fanmalia, beaten 1.4L. He has run well on the Parks track previously and I think with a more positive steer, he will be there when the whips are cracking and can take this out.
Danger
4 Stadium Of Light (Bet Now: $3.80) has been frustrating to follow in recent times because his best is certainly good enough to take out a moderate race like this. Good in defeat two back over the mile at Murray Bridge before going to 1800m on the course proper here three weeks ago and was okay late without threatening behind Santelmo Fuego, who is flying at the moment, so the form reads well for this sort of race.
Long Shot
Fitter and up to 1550m are two big ticks for 1 Upgrade Me (Bet Now: $10.00). Ashton Downing trained gelding that resumed over 1200m at Balaklava last Wednesday where he got back in the run and made up minor headway without threatening behind Shooting For Stars. Might want one more and a further rise in trip, but he has more upside than most and the depth is very much on the thin side.

6 Midnight Mass (Bet Now: $5.50) is hard to beat. Former Kiwi that made his Australian debut on the course proper here a fortnight back when specked at odds and did a good job from near the speed, keeping on finding the line and was good in defeat when second to the in form Jacks On Ice. Fitter and up to 1400m, more upside than most, it’s easy to see why he is likeable. Leading contender.
Danger
9 Starts With Hello (Bet Now: $4.20) commands respect. Team Jolly trained gelding that is three weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance in the Autumn Final where he got back in the run from the tricky gate and found the line well enough when a close up third to Tapinforpar. Good record at the track/distance and the depth here is nowhere near as strong. He is one of the leading chances.
Long Shot
2 Sandsation (Bet Now: $27.00) deserves a crack in town given the way she is going for Mick White. She has won her past three, all coming on the dirt at Port Augusta where she has been a line finder in all three wins and surged to win. Is she good enough to win? I am saying no, but given how genuine she is, she is one for exotics.

8 Bellalique (Bet Now: $3.70) looks a nice mare for Team Jolly. Market wanted her with confidence when debuting over 1200m at Gawler and under a peach from Toeroek, she made an absolute mess of them and was quite impressive the way she put them away. Jumps straight to Saturday grade, but maps to get an ideal run in transit and the extra 100m should be ideal.
Danger
4 Toast The Deel (Bet Now: $4.60) is holding her form nicely at the moment for the Clarken/O’Shea camp. Last couple of runs have come over 1200m on the course proper here, letting down with purpose to win two back before a close up fifth to Jacks On Ice a fortnight back, beaten just under a length. Think the rise in trip helps and with a drag into the race, she’ll be effective late.
Long Shot
3 Starsongari (Bet Now: $5.50) looks back on track. Jury was out early on in the prep but she found positive form I thought two weeks ago on the course proper here, settling near last in the run and working home with purpose when beaten a length by Jacks On Ice. Now in form, back to Mares grade, she rates as one of the hardest to beat.

3 Pompeii Empire (Bet Now: $3.00) has come back a better horse for Team Jolly and confident he can continue his winning ways. Both starts/wins this time in have come over 1200m at Balaklava and each time he has been dominant, albeit he had the A1 run on both occasions. Good test here against some likely types but he is a likely type himself and is flying.
Danger
7 Sixfootone (Bet Now: $7.00) doesn’t have the best of winning strike rates but is a consistent animal that is rarely far away from the action. Narrow second to the in form Pompeii Empire two back at Balaklava before going to the course proper here a fortnight back when doing work to sit on speed and that early burn just told late in the piece, albeit was only beaten a length by Jacks On Ice. The depth here is nowhere near as strong and with his racing style, he’ll give himself every chance.
Long Shot
1 Carbone (Bet Now: $23.00) hasn’t really established himself at metro level in previous attempts but he has earned a crack after placings his past couple, two back at Bordertown when a closing third before going to Strathalbyn and was beaten a lip after sitting on speed. He has versatility re racing pattern, he’s tough…doubt he wins, but a first four contender.
