What a night for Newcastle United.
What a night for Newcastle United. In defeating Brighton at home, the Toon have kept their hopes and dreams of Champions League football alive and ticking.
Fans could almost taste it, growing stronger and more undeniable with each of their four goals.
Even Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi said Newcastle deserved to finish in the top four of the Premier League.
He said: “Newcastle deserve to qualify for the Champions League. They won against Man United 2-0 and they deserved to win and in the first half with Arsenal they were unlucky.
“They are a strong team, a very good team. Difficult for us, especially today because we weren’t with many powerful players with energy.”
But no one thinks this more so than the fans. So here are some of the best reactions around St James’ Park last night.
