The OSAA golf state championships are set for Monday and Tuesday across the state in all classifications.
On the boys side, 6A and 5A will be at Emerald Valley Golf and Resort in Creswell, while 4A will be at Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis, and 3A/2A/1A will be at Tokatee Golf Course in McKenzie.
On the girls side, 6A and 5A will be at Quail Valley Golf Course in Banks, and 4A/3A/2A/1A will be at Trysting Tree Golf Club.
Here is a look at 10 Mid-Valley golfers to keep an eye on during the state championships.
Colby Sullivan, McNary, Class 6A
McNary senior Colby Sullivan shot a 141 to win the Central Valley Conference championship.
At the 6A state tournament last season, Sullivan tied for fourth with a two-day score of 138.
Sullivan shot a 66 on the first day, then a 72 on the second day.
He has a realistic chance to capture the 6A state title this season.
Elijah Clendening, McNary, Class 6A
McNary junior Elijah Clendening shot a 146 to place second at the CVC championships.
He shot 167 last season at the state tournament, posting a first-day score of 83, and second-day score of 84.
Overall he finished tied for 77th.
David Harvey, West Salem, Class 6A
West Salem senior David Harvey shot a 150 to place third at the CVC championships individually, and helped the Titans win the boys team title.
He’s going into the 6A boys tournament as West Salem’s top golfer.
Emily Keel, Sprague, Class 6A
Sprague junior Emily Keel shot a 167 to win the CVC individual title and help the Olympians win the CVC girls team championship.
She will be the CVC’s top girls golfer in the 6A state tournament.
Camille Harrington, West Salem, Class 6A
West Salem senior Camille Harrington shot a 175 to place second at the CVC championships.
She will be the Titans’ No. 1 girls golfer at the 6A state tournament.
Ty Beyer, Woodburn, Class 5A
Woodburn senior Ty Beyer placed second last season in the 4A state tournament with a score of 150.
He shot a first-day score of 73, then a second-day score of 77.
This season, with Woodburn moving up a classification, he will compete in the 5A state tournament.
He has a realistic chance at the 5A state championship.
Ellie Traeger, Silverton, Class 5A
Silverton junior Ellie Traeger tied for fifth at the 5A state tournament last season with a score of 189.
She shot a first-day score of 92 and a second-day score of 97.
She has a realistic shot at the 5A state championship.
Savannah Roblin, Dallas, Class 5A
Dallas junior Savannah Roblin is the No. 2 golfer for the Dragons this season at state, but with her state experience, she could do well at the 5A tournament.
Last season at state, she finished tied for 21st with a score of 209.
She shot a 103 on the first day, followed by a 106 on the final day.
Maddie Dustin, Cascade, Class 4A/3A/2A/1A
Cascade junior Maddie Dustin shot a 147 to win her district championship.
Last season, she was competing for South Salem at the 6A state tournament and finished 14th with a score of 158.
She shot 79 on both days of the state tournament.
She has a realistic chance to win the 4A/3A/2A/1A state title.
Kyler Hemelstrand, Cascade, Class 4A
Cascade junior Kyler Hemelstrand finished tied for ninth at the 4A state tournament last season with a score of 159.
He had a first-day score of 81, then a 78 on the second day.
He has a realistic chance at the 4A state title.
