4 Walk Like An Angel (Bet Now:
$SP.00) on top for me in a relatively thin race. Macdonald/Gluyas trained filly that was met with market support when debuting two weeks ago at Murray Bridge when behind the speed throughout before angling clear and looked the winner when presented but couldn’t quite finish it off when second to Kalasec. Better for the run under the belt, she appeals.
Danger
1 Kalasec (Bet Now:
$SP.00) has the win on the board and he can certainly go on with it. Took a little while to break the maiden status but it came at Murray Bridge a fortnight back, landing on speed and yes was there to be run down, but he found under pressure and was strong to the line in winning. Good racing style, confidence is up, he can go on with it now.
Long Shot
3 Voltage Point (Bet Now:
$SP.00) is a Chris Bieg trained juvenile that is on debut. This guy trialled last week at Murray Bridge and I thought moved nicely, winning narrowly but seemingly did it with something in hand and ran okay time relative to the morning. The depth here looks thin so I’d watch the market and see what it does with him.
Race 2. (12:37) Thomas Farms (Bm86) 1250m

1 Picargo (Bet Now: $3.90) is a ripper for Ryan Balfour and is one of the hardest to beat. He was a drifter in betting when resuming two weeks ago at Murray Bridge and the fast tempo played into his hands, sitting back in the run before coming with a well timed run under Livesay to get the job done. Great second up record and is very genuine. Plenty of upside, he appeals big time.
Danger
3 Metro Legend (Bet Now: $2.80) looks to be in for a good prep. He resumed three weeks ago on the course proper here when near the speed and was hailed as the winner for the most part in the straight but couldn’t quite get there, nailed late by Aston Rapova. Good second up record and overall, the depth here isn’t overly deep. Down in the weights, he commands respect.
Long Shot
5 Aiguilette (Bet Now: $15.00) is dangerous if this becomes a properly run 1250m. He ran in the Picargo race from two weeks back at Murray Bridge where he found them a bit sharp I thought and drawn gate one, the inside was quicksand, so forgive and forget. Fairer track, genuine tempo and be within range, he can run an improved race. One to include in exotics.

2 Cold Case (Bet Now: $6.00) is third up from a spell and should just about be at peak fitness. Just needed the run fresh here behind Sghirripa before going to Murray Bridge a few weeks back when dragged back from the wide gate and was solid late without threatening behind Klabel. Hard fit now and off his form from last prep, it does read well for a race like this.
Danger
5 The Great Baby (Bet Now: $13.00) looks to be in for a good prep. Market wanted him when resuming at Murray Bridge. He got back in the run and was never really a threat but didn’t mind the way he found the line late in the piece when third to Declared. He ran two weeks back at Murray Bridge again and was good in defeat behind Klabel. Better for the runs under the belt, dangerous if he can settle closer in the run.
Long Shot
3 Lucky Blue (Bet Now: $8.00) is on the seven day back up after racing here last Saturday where he had the bias in his corner and once presented in the straight, he looked the winner, but had to settle for a narrow second to Mr Marathon Man. He is racing honestly without winning and is a must for multiples against these.

1 Jaguary (Bet Now: $18.00) saves his best for the Parks track and I think is hard to beat against these. Did a good job here two back behind Tapinforpar in the Autumn Final before going to Ballarat where he battled away pretty well on the bog track behind a very nice Lindsey Smith galloper, Sir Atlas. Hard fit now and returning to his pet track, on speed, he’s the one for me.
Danger
3 Wild Imagination (Bet Now: $3.40) has returned in pretty good order and is one of the key chances. She was big odds when resuming at Murray Bridge a fortnight back and while she was helped by the race shape, I thought she found the line really well when second to Picargo. Tends to get better as the prep goes on, so might need another run, but off the resumption, she commands respect.
Long Shot
2 Territory Titan (Bet Now: $23.00) will jump on the bunny and take running down. He has had two runs back from a spell and has been run off his legs on both occasions, the latest run coming at Bordertown when back in the small field and found the line well enough I thought behind Red Roof. Great record on the Parks track, I wouldn’t be totally dismissing him.

2 Pompeii Empire (Bet Now: $8.50) has come back a better horse for Team Jolly and confident he can continue his winning ways. Both starts/wins this time in have come over 1200m at Balaklava and each time he has been dominant, albeit he had the A1 run on both occasions. Good test here against some likely types but he is a likely type himself and is flying.
Danger
5 Second To Nun (Bet Now: $4.40) has found winning form and she can hold it. That win came a fortnight back at Murray Bridge where she gave them a start and a beating, sitting wide with cover throughout before peeling wider, finding the best ground and let down with purpose to win well. Back to her own age, change up speed, she is dangerous.
Long Shot
4 Noble Magnate (Bet Now: $6.00) is knocking on the door to win for Team Jolly and he strikes a winnable race. The last couple of runs, it is noteworthy that they have been riding him with a sit and it’s been working because he has been attacking the line much better, the latest run being two weeks ago when second to Klabel. He has that 1200m run under the belt, which should hold him in good stead.

2 Another Ponzi (Bet Now: $2.45) picks himself here IMO. Team Jolly trained three year old that is 2/2 this time in, both wins coming at Balaklava, resuming with a dominant win over 1200m before stepping up to 1300m where he got the dream run behind the speed before angling into clear air and he went through his gears like a nice horse to win well. Heading in the right direction and is the one to beat again.
Danger
8 Turfitt (Bet Now: $6.00) doesn’t win out of turn but she is a mare who is generally around the mark. That was the case a few weeks ago in the Autumn Final, a race far stronger than this, and I thought she worked to the line really well without threatening behind Tapinforpar. Prior efforts were strong as well and certainly good enough to take out a race like this. Leading contender.
Long Shot
5 Siyata (Bet Now: $8.50) has the 1400m run under the belt, which should hold him in good stead. That came at Murray Bridge two weeks back where she got a fair way out of her ground but made up good ground late without threatening behind Solar Blast. She does find it hard to win but with a drag into the race, she can finish over the top and win.

6 Dixie Whistler (Bet Now:
$SP.00) is a very honest mare for the Richards/Moyle camp and IMO, she’s the straight bat option. She ran in a brutally run staying contest two weeks ago at Murray Bridge and just kept chipping away, only getting run down late by Smiling Assassin. Has a great record on the Parks track and I reckon coming back slightly back in trip only helps her cause. Happy to be in her corner.
Danger
2 Canford (Bet Now:
$SP.00) commands some level of respect for Ryan Balfour. He ran in the Smiling Assassin race from Murray Bridge where he was near the speed throughout and tried his guts out but couldn’t quite see it through, finishing third. He can be hit and miss at times, and hard to follow/trust with confidence, but this is well within his reach.
Long Shot
3 Smiling Assassin (Bet Now:
$SP.00) loves a staying contest and that is what he got at Murray Bridge last time, sitting back where those in front went silly and it came down to last man standing, which is what he was and was impressive in winning. Think he’s a big track horse so not sure how he’ll go on the Parks, but if it becomes a staying contest, he just about becomes #1 seed.

2 Rialtor (Bet Now:
$SP.00) should take beating from the front. He was six weeks between runs when racing over 1400m here last Saturday where he was well backed, that due to the up/in pattern. He led and gave a kick but condition just gave way late behind Tahnee Tradition. Has that run under the belt, front end control, he’ll take running down.
Danger
Michael O’Leary should be respected when he comes to town with runners so with that in mind, 4 Maracourt (Bet Now:
$SP.00) is dangerous. He let down with purpose from the back to win at Casterton last time, winding up strongly late to get a narrow but impressive win. Has a gate to settle much closer in the run and still be effective late.
Long Shot
Fitter and up to 1550m are two big ticks for 8 Footlights (Bet Now:
$SP.00). First run for Aaron Bain came two weeks back at Murray Bridge and I thought the run was a pass mark. He was just off the speed throughout and tried hard but condition just gave way behind Solar Blast. Might want one more run but off his Victorian form, it’s good enough to take this out.

5 Destiny’s Republic (Bet Now:
$SP.00) is the map horse and the way I am leaning towards in the get out. He resumed at Mount Gambier over 900m when on a fast speed and was trucking it seemed. Looked the winner when the button was pressed but he couldn’t quite finish it off, nabbed late by Action In Cairns. Has the map in his corner and firmer deck a big positive.
Danger
7 Midnight Rush (Bet Now:
$SP.00) is a handy three year old for Team Jolly that resumes. This guy is first up, having not raced since Jan 7 at Gawler when near the speed and battled away pretty well in defeat behind Zebella, beaten two lengths. Moved quite well in a recent Murray Bridge trial and stable is very good with their horses early on in a prep.
Long Shot
1 The Gov (Bet Now:
$SP.00) will land on speed and give plenty of cheek. That was the case a fortnight back at Murray Bridge, producing sustained speed from the front and giving nothing else a look in, winning in quite dominant fashion. That racing style is ideal for the Parks track, especially at 1000m, so she rates highly against these.
