Here are the top three stories today in Johns Creek:
- Baptist News Global is hiring in the Johns Creek area for a formations pastor. Within the church, the appointed formations pastor will take charge of devising a forward-thinking approach to foster spiritual growth and enhance theological education, according to the church. Resumes should be sent to [email protected]. (Baptist News Global)
- The Johns Creek-based trucking corporation Saia will be opening four terminals in nearby Buford. The expansion in Buford is part of a national effort to expand the corporation’s footprint, totaling more than $400 million to be spent in fiscal 2023, assuming economic slowdown doesn’t intervene. - By August, three quarterbacks — junior Zach Gibson, sophomore transfer Haynes King, and freshman Zach Pyron — will be in fall camp for Georgia Tech’s football team. These three players will be up for lead. Georgia Tech’s Coach Key shared with ACC Network’s “IN PLAY” that competition hasn’t been a focus of his leadership in the past spring; instead, he has focused on strategy and the team dynamic. “Number 1, fitting in the locker room and fitting in with the guys on the team that are already here. It’s a good competition right now, all three made improvements this past spring and at the same time all three have a long way to go before we are able to step out and kick off the season this year,” Key said.
